Intermediate Electric Guitar
"I can help bring new and fresh ideas to the table, help you get out of the box, and keep the progress coming."
If you've previously had lessons, or are self taught, you probably have a good idea of where you want to be going with the guitar by now. That is also a great time to have some form of guidance. I'm sure that almost every guitarist has hit the illusive wall, where we get stuck in a rut, continue playing the same old licks and songs, not quite knowing what to do next. I've certainly been there! So I will bring new fresh ideas to the table, help you get out of the one direction box, and keep the progress coming!

So, how does it work?
For your first lesson we will be discussing your current level of ability, and working out what you want to learn. We will of corse be doing some playing, and have a bit of fun with the guitar.
From there the aim is to keep you challenged, and progress you further torwards your personal goals.
General steps of progression
As a general guide to the steps we will take from your current guitar playing abilities, here's a list of what we'd be covering over the coming months.
-
New licks and riffs
-
Using them for improvisation
-
A better understanding of scales and general music theory
-
implementing music theory into your playing and improvising
-
polishing of techniques, such as:
Alternate picking, Arpeggios, Scale Exercises, Legato runs etc
There's a lot to cover so I can't list everything here, as well as the fact each lesson will be based on what you wish to get from it.
A big point which really makes a quality guitarist is the feeling behind the notes, It's very common to be able to play lots of notes that resemble something musical, but I really like to spend time helping students make each note sound dynamic.
